Wynton Kelly? He’s so good that I have a Japanese bootleg of his that only features characters on the side of the disc cover. You think I know how to spell “Kelly” with a brush and a stroke? Yeah, you guessed “no,” and you guessed correctly.
Listen to the first 30 seconds of his intro, and try to keep your pores from doing funny things.
A standard, because it deserves to be. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone do a poor version of this, and I’ve heard a bad R+B singer work a shyte cover of this song while at an actual club called “Green Dolphin Street” while under 21 and hoping they wouldn’t kick me out for drinking an Absolut and grapefruit.
